Two-hour Amsterdam massage: a slower start, a longer middle and time to talk
Two hours is twice the shortest length, but it feels like more than twice. The added time goes into the parts a short booking has to rush: the talk at the start, the pace in the middle and the quiet at the end.
What the second hour adds
In two hours, nothing has to be quick. You can talk for a while before the massage begins, which helps a great deal when you share only a little English. The massage itself can move slowly, with long strokes and pauses between them. At the end you can lie still for a while before you dress. Nobody needs to look at a clock.
Who it suits
Two hours suits a first booking for a nervous guest, because the start can be as slow as you like. It suits a couple sharing one therapist, because the time is divided between two people. It suits tantra, where two hours gives the breathing part more room, as the tantra page explains. And it suits anyone whose evening has nothing else in it.
Talking first, with a little English
If English is not your first language, two hours takes the pressure off. You can use a few simple words, point, and ask her to say something again more slowly. A translation app on the table is fine. The page about a little shared English lists the words that do the most work.
Writing two hours clearly
Write the length as two hours, and add the start and the end: 20:30 until 22:30. Do not write the word double. A reader can take double to mean two therapists rather than two hours, and the reply then quotes the wrong booking. Plain words leave nothing to guess.
Two hours late in the evening
A two-hour booking that starts at 22:00 ends at midnight. If it runs past midnight, name both days, and decide before she arrives whether you want to sleep straight after. If so, tell her at the start, and she leaves quietly when the time is up. If your hotel closes its main door at night, write which door she should use on the way out.
The figure and the deposit
Two hours costs twice the hourly figure on the profile. A guest who has booked here before, asking for two hours later today at a city address, pays all of it at the door. Most other two-hour bookings have a deposit of half the total, paid before she sets out. The cases are listed on the deposit page.
