Nuru or body to body: two Amsterdam massage words compared in short, plain sentences
Nuru and body to body are close cousins. Both use her body weight as well as her hands. The difference lies in one thing: gel or oil. That one thing changes what your room needs and how long you should book.
The one difference: gel or oil
Nuru uses a special gel. It is smooth, warm and has no smell, and the word nuru itself means slippery. Body to body uses warm oil, with no gel and no foam. In both, she moves her forearms and body along your back and legs, slowly, using her weight rather than pressing with her fingers.
What your room needs
Body to body needs only a bed and a warm room. Any hotel room works, even a small one. Nuru asks more of the room: a waterproof sheet on the bed or the floor, which she brings, and a shower you can stand in afterwards, because the gel has to be washed off. A very small room with a tiny shower makes nuru awkward. Then body to body is the simpler choice.
How long to book
Body to body works well in one hour, and ninety minutes gives it a slower start. Nuru suits ninety minutes, because the sheet and the shower take part of the time. Two hours takes the hurry out of either one. If you book nuru for one hour anyway, shower before she arrives, so that only the shower afterwards takes time from the session.
How each one feels
Both feel close and continuous. Gel is more slippery than oil, so nuru glides with less friction. Oil is warmer on the skin and sinks in a little, so body to body feels softer and calmer. Neither is stronger than the other; they are two textures of the same slow idea.
How to write it
Write the word in full: nuru, or body to body. Do not shorten body to body to letters and a digit, because a translation app may turn the short form into something else. If you are unsure, write one of the two and add: or the other, if the room is small. The reply then chooses with you. Nuru and body to body each have a page of their own.
Her limits do not change
With either technique, she tells you her limits before she begins, and they stay the same for the whole visit. The technique decides gel or oil. It does not move her limits in either direction.
