Amsterdam massage on WhatsApp: reading the ticks, the pauses and the short replies
The booking happens in a message app, and message apps have their own small signals: grey ticks, blue ticks, a typing line that comes and goes. Read them right and the wait is calm. This page explains them in plain words.
One button, one thread
Every page on this site has a button for WhatsApp and one for Telegram. Either opens a chat with the house, and that chat becomes the booking thread. Keep the whole booking in it: the first message, the reply, your yes and any change. A booking split across two apps is easy to misread, because half of it is always somewhere else.
What the ticks mean
On WhatsApp, one grey tick means your message has left your phone. Two grey ticks mean it has reached the other phone. Two blue ticks mean it has been opened, if read ticks are switched on. A message with two grey ticks has arrived and is waiting its turn to be read. Telegram shows its own ticks in a similar way.
Why a reply can pause
The reply is written by a person, not by a machine. Before it names a woman and an hour, the house checks who is free. That can take a short while. Do not send the same message again, because two copies can look like two bookings. If nothing comes after a reasonable wait, send one short line: still possible? A reply that asks you a question is not a refusal. Answer it, and the booking moves on.
Text, not voice notes
Write your booking as text. A voice note is hard to follow with noise in the background and an unfamiliar accent, and an hour spoken aloud can be heard as another. Text can be read twice, translated and checked. If you speak more easily than you write, use the dictation on your phone, then read the text through before you send it.
No calls needed
The house works by written message. You do not need to call, and a call would not be quicker. Everything a booking needs fits in four or five short lines. The message to copy gives you those lines, and the words in the reply explains what comes back.
The two lines on the night
After your yes, two more messages arrive: one when she sets out, one when she is at your floor. Keep your phone near you with the sound on. A muted phone is a frequent reason for a missed knock.
