Near me depends on where me is. A visitor usually knows the hotel but not the district around it. The map says Oud-Zuid or De Pijp, and the words mean nothing yet. This page reads the district names for you and says which of them are covered.
The names, one by one
Centrum is the city centre, the old part inside the ring of canals. Jordaan is a district of small streets and narrow canals on the west side of the centre. Oud-Zuid means old south: wide streets, the large museums and the Vondelpark. De Pijp lies just south of the centre, around a long street market. Zuidas means south axis, a business district of offices and newer hotels. Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein are squares, because plein is the local word for a square. Dam Square is the main square of the old centre. The Red Light District is the name visitors give to the oldest streets near the main station.
Which districts are covered
Every one of those districts is covered: Centrum, Jordaan, Oud-Zuid, De Pijp, Zuidas, Leidseplein, Rembrandtplein, Dam Square, Vondelpark and the Red Light District. In all of them the time from your yes to her knock is forty to sixty minutes. It is the same window whether your hotel faces a canal or an office tower.
When you do not know your district
Open your map app and look for the large name printed across the area, not the name of your street. Or look at your hotel confirmation, which often names the district in the address or the description. If you still cannot tell, it does not matter at all. The district is for your own reading; the booking works from the address. Some maps also print smaller names, such as a canal or a corner of a district, and those are fine to ignore.
Near me is a search word, not a message
In the thread, the words near me tell the reply nothing. Write the hotel name and the street, or the street, the house number and the floor of your flat. That one line does the work of the whole map. The airport is a separate case
A hotel at Schiphol airport is not near the centre in this sense. It is arranged on its own. Her journey time is agreed with you first, and only then is the hour fixed. Addresses beyond Amsterdam and Schiphol are not covered.
